OT Evaluations for Advocacy & Service Access

Our evaluations are designed to help families advocate for services their child may need in school or other settings. These comprehensive assessments can be shared with educational teams, medical professionals, or service coordinators to support access to appropriate interventions.

Each evaluation includes:

  • Standardized assessment tools

  • Parent interviews

  • Clinical observations conducted in the child’s natural environment (e.g., school, home)

  • Individualized recommendations are developed based on the child’s unique strengths, challenges, and interests.

  • Skill areas assessed may include (but are not limited to):

  • Cognitive abilities (e.g., attention, direction-following)

  • Fine and gross motor coordination

  • Strength and endurance

  • Grapho-motor and handwriting skills

  • Sensory processing

  • Visual-motor integration

  • Self-help skills (e.g., dressing, grooming)

  • Motor planning and organization

Occupational Therapy Sessions

OT sessions are delivered in the child’s natural environment—whether at school, home, or daycare—to support skill development in the settings where they function every day. Therapy focuses on the child’s strengths while addressing challenges that impact daily routines, learning, and independence.

Children engage in purposeful, play-based activities that offer the just-right challenge to promote growth and functional skill development. Sessions are collaborative, involving parents, teachers, or caregivers to ensure strategies are reinforced consistently and meaningfully across all settings.
